Mission Statement
To provide conscientious, courteous service to our Members in a manner that is consistent with the “People Helping People” credit union philosophy. Our goal is to treat each Member as an individual, with needs that are unique as the Members themselves, and to maintain the Member’s dignity and integrity with each encounter.
What a Member Service Representative does
We answer Member questions regarding nearly all aspects of their Credit Union relationships. Your Member Service Representative is knowledgeable in not only deposit accounts, including share accounts, share-draft accounts, certificates and IRA’s, but also in the basics of lending, bookkeeping, research and compliance. Questions that are beyond our scope we will gladly forward to the appropriate Credit Union staff member.
Who are the Member Service Representatives?
Each office has at least one person who wears the hat of Member Service Representative. Sometimes it’s a dedicated position, someone who is a full-time Member Service Representative. More frequently, one of the Tellers has been trained in new account opening and the other aspects of Member Services. All you need to do is ask a Teller who can best answer your question; you may find that the best person is already standing in front of you!
What kind of services do the Member Service Representatives provide?
Member Service Representatives are usually the people you see to:
- Open a new account
- Update account ownership information
- Take out a CD
- Open an IRA
- Inquire about existing Trust accounts
- Ask questions about children’s accounts, such as Eager Beaver or Teen Freedom accounts
